This is Shane and Sunny's story as told by Margaret.

One day in 1999 a young Korean lass rang us. She told us that her english teacher SuJin Heo had suggested that she get in contact with us. We agreed to meet the girl and talk with her. Seong Og Urm was a bit difficult to the friends we introduced her to so we called her Sunny. We were later to learn how apt that name was, for soon we found out that she was not only Sunny by name but also Sunny by nature.

Our day outings with Sunny were a delight and one day she asked if she could come and live with us.

We always insist that anyone living with us takes on a share of the responsibilities in the house. Jokingly I told her that Frank (my husband) was my slave. Slave was a new word for her so she went to her electronic dictionary and I typed in the word for her. I often wonder just what that dictionary definition said. She was delighted. I want to be your slave. So it was agreed that she would be my washing up slave.

Oh bliss, a washing up slave.

Enter, my son, Shane.

and yes! he loves bushwalking.

Shane is a queens scout. One of his greatest loves is bushwalking.

Shane attended school and university in Australia and then spent a year at Korea University on a university scholarship.

At University he studied Korean language and Marketing.

He uses walking to destress from his rather stressful life as Managing Director of an importing company.

Shane has set up his own company called Livewire Distribution Pty Ltd
